PE and Health Mission Policy 2015

      Aim

At ISC we encourage students to develop the physical skills and mind sets to participate regularly in a broad range of physical activities. We also, through our Health Units, develop positive awareness about relevant teenage health issues and encourage students to seek help through recognised Health Resources.

      1. Perform confidently and efficiently in a range of movement environments (indoor, outdoor and aquatic).
      2. Refine basic and complex motor skills and apply these skills in increasingly complex games and activities.
      3. Maintain regular participation in moderate to vigorous physical activity and monitor exercise intensity.
      4. Explain the process for improving health-related fitness.
      5. Effectively use strategic thinking and work with peers to improve game performance.
      6. Work independently to improve performance.

      5. Describe a range of health services, products and information that can be accessed to help meet health needs and concerns.

      Year 8

      4. Combine motor skills, strategic thinking and tactical knowledge to improve individual and team performance.

      Health Knowledge and Promotion
